All stone is porous, some more than others. The application of a quality impregnating sealer is highly recommended for most stone, especially very porous stones like hone-finished limestone or certain granites. An impregnating sealer for stone is a penetrating-type sealer designed to provide a barrier to prevent or repel water, pigment, dye, dirt, and other foreign substances from penetrating the stone while still allowing vapor to transmit out of the stone or "breathe". Impregnating sealers are clear and will not change the appearance of the stone

Enhancing Sealers are designed to give your stone a 'wet' look or shine while delivering excellent stain inhibiting protection.
