Stonecare PRO Signature STONE SENTRY is a proprietary water-based penetrating sealer for all natural stone, grout, concrete and any other porous mineral and manmade material.
STONE SENTRY is a highly effective water based impregnating sealer to help protect your stone surfaces from water and oil born stains. This sealer provides an invisible barrier resistant to stains, while allowing the surface to properly breathe.
STONE SENTRY is not effective against scratches and other surface damage such as chemical etches produced by accidental spills of vinegar, orange or lemon juice, wine, etc. or improper cleaning products.
STONE SENTRY will not alter the original color of most stones. To make sure, test on a spare tile or inconspicuous area. Let cure for at least 48 hours to see final appearance.
Do not apply on stone immediately after installation of floors. Wait for at least 3 weeks before sealing a new floor or wall installation. Other installations, such as a countertop can be sealed immediately after installation.
Directions for Use:
The stone surface must be free of any coating, dust, soiling, etc.
Floors: for large floors the use of a floor machine is necessary, using a white or red nylon pad. Start with an area approximately 15 to 20 square feet. Apply STONE SENTRY on the middle of the area, position the nylon pad onto the product, and then with the machine, spread it over the area and keep rubbing it in until any residue of the product disappears from the surface. Repeat procedure on another section and so on, until the whole floor has been treated. Discard the pad when it becomes too tacky. STONE SENTRY may require more than one application. On polished marble and hone-finished travertine one application will do. On granite, at least two applications are generally necessary. Very porous mercantile granites, sandstone, quartzite, etc. may require three or more applications.
Wait at least two hours between applications. To find out if the stone is perfectly sealed, place a few drops of water on it and wait for approximately half an hour, then wipe it dry. If the surface of the stone did not darken it means that the stone is perfectly sealed.
Countertops: Apply STONE SENTRY on the surface of the stone to be treated and spread it uniformly using a clean white rag. Let the product sit for approximately 4 minutes to allow for maximum penetration. When the product on the surface of the stone is almost dry, apply more product, and then rub with a dry clean rag until any residue of the product is removed from the stone surface. Repeat the procedure on another section and so on, until the whole surface has been treated.
CAUTION:
Causes eye and skin irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. In case of contact, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children.
